The transformation of Shaogang Steel’s logistics and steelmaking intelligence was top of the agenda when its chairman paid a visit to CISDI HQ.

Mr Shiping Li met with CISDI’s chairman, Xuewen Xiao, and CEO Zhaohui Yu to discuss future plans.

“Shaogang’s intelligent centre has achieved results at each stage. CISDI will now promote a deeper integration of AI with industrial scenarios at Shaogang. We will be focusing on the research of new technologies for big data and AI-based algorithms and the industrial robot,” commented Mr Xiao.

“These innovations, once integrated into the organisation and its management method, will make the steel plant leaner and smarter,” he added.

Mr Li voiced his satisfaction with CISDI’s help in the creation of a smart Shaogang. “Shaogang’s intelligent centre is a benchmark in China’s intelligent manufacturing sector and as such gains great attention within the sector,” he said.

“Our organisations have a very happy, efficient working relationship and we plan to strengthen it further as we upgrade our environmental, steelmaking and logistics intelligence.

“CISDI’s new technologies in big data and AI-based algorithms will accelerate our move towards creating standardised and intelligent modules.”
